Rotokare Halo Project for receiving $158,000 from government’s Community Environment Fund  for the project. It aims to protect Tarananki’s native birds and forests by creating a ‘halo’ more than 2000 hectares in area surrounding the predator-proof fence of Rotokare Scenic Reserve.

The Tiaki Te Mauri O Parininihi Trust  for receiving $110,000 from the Community Conservation Partnership Fund (CCPF) to help reintroduce the native Kokako to the Parininihi area of Taranaki. It aims to reduce rat and possum populations in the Parininihi forest to allow reintroduced Kokako and other species to flourish.
