Congratulations Project Hotspot


Project Hotspot has been awarded a Taranaki Regional Council Environmental Award for engaging the community with science by collecting and sharing data online on endangered coastal species and their threats.

MAIN Trust is proud to be associated with Project Hotspot through hosting their online maps and assiting with data analysis.

We look forward to working with NatureWatch NZ and Nga Motu Marine Reserve Society on the next stage of the project in South Taranaki.

The Project brings together the scientists, schools and all interested people in the community who would like to know more about 4 species - Orca, Reef Herons, Little Blue Penguins and Seals. It is a MBIE "Curious Minds" project.
